In this small village in the inland area of the Municipality of Torpè, in the heart of Su Cossu, we have sold several homes over the years.
Often to foreigners, it is true.
To people who know how to truly appreciate this world:
the quiet, the authenticity, the people, the silences that do not frighten you.
Then this villa is entrusted to us.
An unusual home for such a historic village.
It is a large, modern, young house.
One of those homes that does not go unnoticed.
It has everything:
many rooms,
a very large basement still to be finished,
a spacious garden with mountain views
and sunsets that seem endless.
The price?
Very low for what the house offers.
Yet still significant for a home located about 20 km from the sea.
And that is exactly the point.
Some Italian clients had fallen in love with the villa,
but in the end they did not take the opportunity.
Their wish was to live by the sea.
The problem is that seaside homes come with a very different price.
Because if this same villa had been located right on the coast,
today it would cost at least three times as much.
Last July I met with a German client.
We were looking at a different house.
It was nice, but he did not feel it was his.
He had very clear plans for his new life,
and that house simply did not fit his vision.
We said goodbye and stayed in touch.
I am not an intrusive real estate agent.
When someone is not yet ready to move to Sardinia and change their life, you can feel it.
And it must be respected.
What I remembered most about him was a detail I will never forget:
he told me he had five cats who would move with him.
And who could forget something like that?
About fourteen days ago I received a message.
He asked me if I remembered him
and if the house in Su Cossu was still available.
In truth, we had not even considered that house for him.
But he had discovered it on my website.
He kept looking at the photos and videos,
until he decided to contact me.
From the very first message, it felt as if he had already decided.
He asked many detailed and precise questions.
His dream was clear:
to create a workshop in the basement
and live in the villa.
For him, peace was essential.
And that was exactly what he was looking for.
He had not seen the house yet.
So he bought a ferry ticket
and arrived just a few days later.
What can I say?
He saw it.
He chose it.
And now he is preparing to move to Sardinia
and begin a new life.
It really is true.
Sometimes it is the house that calls you.
And when it does, you immediately know:
this is home.
These are the moments that make me love my job more and more every day.
